Life Update

Hi,

It's been a while eh? I thought I'd catch you up on what's been going on the last few months. It's been quite a change, I think I left you when I'd just gone back to work as an event coordinator. I stayed for a few months then handed my notice in. I've now finished but have stayed on on a casual basis to support my new career. A full time author.

There I said it. I am a full time author (who looks after two little humans too) and I couldn't be happier. Sure, there are times when the self doubt is rife but other's particularly when I get to write, spend time with my kids, rest when I need and I'm able to do yoga or go for a walk in the day when I just know, it was the right decision.

In the same vein, One French Summer is now available in paperback and eBook and I am so excited. We got the books last week and I will be shipping them out soon to those who pre-ordered. It feels so surreal having the physical book between my hands but I am so proud of how far I have come from the girl who was writing in her lunch breaks with no idea of where this would go. You can buy your copy now in the shop.

In July I also finished the first round of edits on Project 2 and I think it's the best thing I've ever written so far. I'm very passionate about the story and I am in love with Luke Anderson, the main character.

We took a family holiday for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Seven days of lounging by the pool, someone else cooking and not having to rush anywhere. I didn't write a single word and I didn't really think about work either which is a huge step for me. I was very happy about that.

I've read a tonne of books, watched loads of television, filling up the creativity cup and caught covid....

On the other side of that now and into the summer holidays before my biggest starts school in September. I've got a couple of big events to work and plan on starting my next novel this month, even if it's just drafting out the plot and outline.

Let me know what you've been up to these last few months. Let's catch up.
